Executive Director of Technology Services - Rob Curnow

Technology is a foundational component of nearly every system within the district. The Technology Services team is committed to delivering exceptional customer service at both the building and district levels, while maintaining a robust infrastructure that supports learning and teaching.

Rob Curnow has led the Technology Services department since 2012. With a background in education, he brings 10 years of teaching experience at both high school and middle school levels, as well as four years in professional development at CVSD. He values teamwork and enjoys tackling the daily challenges that come with supporting the district at a strategic service level.

• IT & District Operations Support
• Acts as a key liaison for technology-related matters from staff and the community.
• Works closely with district leadership and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with educational goals.
• Compliance & Policy Administration
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations related to data privacy, cybersecurity and technology use.
• Collaborates with legal counsel and district administrators to develop and enforce technology policies and procedures.
• Budget, Procurement & Resource Management
• Partners with Business Services to oversee technology budgets, procurement and financial planning.
• Manages vendor contracts, licensing agreements and technology-related expenditures.
• Network Security & Infrastructure Oversight
• Monitors and maintains district-wide technology infrastructure, ensuring network security, data management, and system reliability.
• Data, Reporting & Systems Management
• Manages district-wide data systems to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with state and federal requirements. Oversees student information systems, learning management platforms and all information technology support systems.
• School Security & Safety Technology
• Oversees the implementation and management of security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, alarms, paging and emergency notification systems.
• Collaborates with district and school leaders to enhance district safety through integrated security solutions and cybersecurity best practices.
