Ways to Help Our Neighbors & Those Affected in Our CVSD Community

Our hearts are with our neighbors who have been deeply impacted by the recent Spokane-area fires.

Tens of thousands of people were displaced, and hundreds of homes and other structures were destroyed or damaged. Among those affected are members of our neighboring school communities, our own CVSD staff members, and families connected to our schools.

For many, the fires have brought an unimaginable amount of uncertainty and loss. We know this crisis has touched our broader community—and our own CVSD family.

We are grateful to the firefighters, first responders, Red Cross, schools and countless community members who stepped into action. We are a community that comes together when our neighbors need us most.
