Bus Registration
Families whose students may qualify for transportation should have received an email from [email protected] with instructions for registering.
If you have not received an email from [email protected] to register your student, please email us at [email protected]. Please include your student's name and address.
How the Process Works
- Completing the form is a request for transportation. It does not automatically register your student to ride the bus.
- Transportation eligibility is based on your child's home address and district transportation guidelines.
- A separate request form must be completed for each child who needs transportation.
What Happens Next?
- CVSD Transportation Servicers will review each request.
- If your child qualifies for transportation, you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected] just before school starts.
- The confirmation email will include your child's bus route and bus stop information.
Walk Zones and Address Changes
- Current walk zones will remain the same.
- Students who live within a walk zone are not eligible for regular bus service.
- If your student lives in a walk zone, you may submit a "Walk to Bus Stop" request form for consideration.
- If you have moved or your address has changed, please contact your child's school to update your information before completing the transportation request form.
What If I Didn't Receive an Email?
- Contact transportation at [email protected] to send a new email for registration.
Students Who Do Not Need to Register
The following students do not need to complete the transportation request form:
- HEART/McKinney-Vento students
- Students whose current special education IEP includes transportation services. Transportation for these students is arranged through other programs and services.
- Students attending Central Valley Early Learning Center
- Exception: Students enrolled in an Early Learning program at an elementary school must still complete a transportation request form if they would like bus service.
Why We're Making This Change
This new process will help us build more efficient bus routes and better match services to student needs. Knowing which students plan to ride the bus helps us provide reliable transportation while making the best use of taxpayer dollars.
