Executive Academic Officer of the Central Learning Community - Jennifer Kindle

With over 30 years of experience in education, Jennifer Kindle has spent the past 24 years serving in leadership roles as both a building principal and district administrator. She brings extensive expertise in instructional leadership and secondary education, with a strong focus on student engagement and school improvement. Jennifer is passionate about designing innovative learning environments where every student is empowered, supported, and prepared for future success.
 
Jennifer began in 2025 as one of CVSD's executive adademic officers, leading Pre-K-12-grade school administrators in the district’s Central Learning Community. Below are a few of the various areas that Jennifer oversees.
  •  Instructional Leadership Development
    • Supports principals through a differentiated leadership model to build their instructional capacity and impact student achievement.
  • Leadership of Learning & Teaching Department
    • Leads the Learning and Teaching department, ensuring alignment with district goals and best practices in curriculum and instruction.
  • Professional Development & Capacity Building
    • Develops and leads job-embedded professional learning opportunities for leaders, teachers and staff at regional and district levels.
  • Pre-K-12 Grade School Leadership & Collaboration
    • Oversees Pre-K-12 grade schools and learning centers in the Central Learning Community in collaboration with fellow Academic Officers to ensure consistency and excellence in education.
  • Principal Support & Collaboration
    • Leads middle school leveled principal meetings in partnership with other Academic Officers, fostering peer collaboration and shared leadership.
  • Culture of Learning & Equity
    • Creates a district-wide culture that values continuous improvement, high expectations and inclusivity, ensuring all students receive a high-quality education.
  • Student Safety & Well-Being
    • Develops and monitors systems that support students' physical and social-emotional safety, including creating conditions where students feel cared for and safe.
  • Data-Driven Improvement
    • Leads the development and evaluation of data-informed strategies to improve student achievement, using multiple data sources to drive instructional decisions and school improvement efforts.
  • Resource Management & Staffing
    • Ensures strategic hiring practices, manages staff and fiscal resources effectively, and collaborates with Human Resources on budgeting and staffing to support student success.
  • Instructional Alignment & Transitions
    • Focuses on aligning instruction across grade bands with an emphasis on key transitions, such as preschool to kindergarten, elementary to middle school and middle to high school.
