Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program

We are excited to share that Adams, Broadway, Greenacres, McDonald, Opportunity, Progress, and University Elementary Schools are participating in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program this school year. This federally funded program provides students with a free fresh fruit or vegetable snack during the school day, separate from breakfast and lunch.

The goal is to:

  • Introduce children to a variety of fresh produce they might not usually try at home,
  • Encourage healthy snacking habits that support lifelong wellness, and
  • Increase access to nutritious foods that help students stay energized and ready to learn.

Through FFVP, our students get the chance to explore new fruits and vegetables, learn fun facts about how they grow, and enjoy healthy snacks in a positive school environment.

Menus and serving days may change depending on product availability.
