2015 Construction Bond Projects
Original Projects Promised to Our Community:
All 2015 construction bond projects were completed on time and on budget. In addition to the original $121.9 million bond in 2015, we received state matching funds – 85¢ for every $1 – for an additional $104 million.
- Mica Peak High School & CV Early Learning Center new building (dedicated February 17, 2016)
- Central Valley Virtual Learning Center new school (opened September 2016)
- Summit School expansion (completed four additional classrooms Jan. 2017)
- Liberty Creek Elementary new school (dedicated August 15, 2017)
- Evergreen Middle School remodel & expansion (dedicated August 22, 2017)
- Greenacres Elementary remodel & expansion (dedicated August 24, 2017)
- Chester Elementary remodel & expansion (dedicated August 29, 2017)
- Sunrise Elementary remodel & expansion (dedicated September 14, 2017)
- Opportunity Elementary remodel & expansion (dedicated January 9, 2018)
- Ponderosa Elementary new building (dedicated May 31, 2018)
- Safety & security upgrades
- Land acquisition for North Pines Middle School
- New gym roof and tennis courts for Horizon Middle School
Additional Projects Delivered to Our Community:
Because of comprehensive planning, we were able to complete two additional schools than were originally promised—Riverbend Elementary and a new North Pines Middle School. Both of these projects were not originally on the 2015 Construction Bond, but were funded with a grant and additional state funds providing two additional schools to solve overcrowding.
