Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) - Jennifer Chase
Jennifer Chase has nearly 30 years of experience in education. Her background in middle school administration, K-12th grade science coordination, instructional coaching along with her dedication to student achievement, positions her as a dynamic CTE leader. She is relationship focused, committed to building strong partnerships and providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s workforce.
Leveraging her administrative expertise and passion for secondary education, Jennifer ensures the implementation of high-quality CTE programs across CVSD. Her work as CTE director focuses on:
- Strategic CTE Leadership
- Oversees CTE programs in Business & Marketing, Health Sciences, Family & Consumer Sciences, Skilled & Technical Trades as well as STEM (Science, Tecnology Engineering and Mathmatics). CTE programs are available to students in both our middle and high schools.
- Fiscal Management & Reporting
- Manages budgets and secures grants to support CTE initiatives.
- Prepares and submits required district, state and federal reports.
- Staffing & Professional Development
- Collaborates with Human Resources and building administration to recruit qualified CTE teachers and provides on-going professional development.
- Curriculum & Instruction
- Leads the development and improvement of CTE curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and student needs.
- Develops new programs that strengthen graduation pathways and opportunities for students beyond the classroom.
- Community & Business Partnerships
- Fosters strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance CTE programs and opportunities for students.
- Executive Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Actively participates as part of the Superintendent’s Cabinet, collaborates with the Learning and Teaching department and leads additional areas as needed.
