2021-2022 Administration & Operations Facilities

Meeting the needs of a growing community...

CVSD's plan for multi-use district operations, transportation and administrative facilities.

Between summer 2021 and fall of 2022, the district will move our support services (administration, human resources, business office, technology, etc.) into a new Learning & Teaching Center; build a new Transportation Center; and move our transportation and facilities maintenance departments to a new District Operations Center.

As our community grows, the support CVSD provides must grow along with it...
Growth Graphic
Spokane Valley’s population is expected to exceed 100,000 within the next few years, and CVSD’s enrollment is projected to increase by over 3,000 students by 2029.

CVSD has grown since the current district offices on Cataldo Avenue were purchased in 1986.

Expanding to meet the needs of our community...
To help meet the needs of our growing district, CVSD will sell the existing administrative property on Cataldo Avenue and buy two new facilities: a Learning and Teaching Center in Liberty Lake and District Operations Center in Spokane, as well as construct a Transportation Center near Ridgeline High School.

These larger, multiuse facilities will allow CVSD to support the community’s expansion while delivering the programs and services that make our schools great.

Outcomes for CVSD schools & families...
  • Greater communication and collaboration among departments and staff
  • More efficient access to district resources, supplies and transportation
  • Enough room to accommodate future needs
Delivering on the promise of wise spending and reliable facilities...
The sale of surplus district property will fund improvements to district support facilities. Only minor repairs will be necessary to get the new buildings ready, as opposed to the significant upgrades that would have been needed at the Cataldo Avenue building.
