Central Valley Education Association and CVSD Reach Tentative Agreement

We would like to update to our community regarding a tentative agreement reached between Central Valley Education Association (CVEA) and Central Valley School District (CVSD) late Monday evening. The tentative agreement is scheduled to be ratified by CVEA at their general membership meeting on Friday, September 7th and we anticipate the agreement would go before the school board on Monday, September 10th.

“We worked hard to come together on this agreement in time for the start of school and remain committed to providing high quality learning and teaching,” says CVSD Superintendent Ben Small. “We look forward to partnering with CVEA – in addition to our classified staff, coaches and administration – to serve our community together and ensure the very best for our students and families.”

CVEA President Wally Watson states, “CVEA is pleased that we have reached this tentative agreement with CVSD. We feel we reached a fair, competitive and sustainable schedule for our members. We are excited to welcome back our students for the new school year.”
