Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL)
Designed to measure student proficiency of rigorous state academic standards, the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) is given to Central Valley students each spring. The standardized test is organized by content area at various grade levels.
- Reading and Math – Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10
- Writing – Grades 4, 7 and 10
- Science – Grades 5, 8 and 10
- Optional – students in grade 9 may take any or all parts of the WASL
August 2008 WASL Testing – Central Valley High School
Registration for August 2009 WASL testing is June 8-26. Students need their State Student Identification (SSID) number to register. If you need assistance during the registration window, please call (866) 400-9275. Students will receive testing times and locations when they register. The summer testing schedule posted below. Students must report for testing at 8 a.m. All tests must be completed on the scheduled day.
Students are asked to bring the following to August WASL Testing:
- Official school or government picture ID (required)
- Spring 2008 WASL Score Reports (if available)
- Pre-registration confirmations (if available)
- Calculators for Mathematics testing if desired; if you do not have a calculator one will be available at the test site
- Bring or make arrangements for lunch; snacks will be provided
