Classroom Environment
Students are given opportunities to learn in a variety of ways to meet their individual needs. Treating each other with respect is a major focus in our classroom. This enables us to have a safe environment for learning. My hope is that the students in my class will grow in knowledge as well as in character.
About Me
I have been teaching since 1987. I earned my undergraduate degree at Whitworth College and my masters degree from Central Washington University. I have taught in the areas of special education, 1st grade, and, now, 2nd grade. I began teaching in Central Valley School District in 1996. Previously, I taught in St. Maries, Idaho, and Moses Lake, Washington.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, gardening, cross-stitching, reading, and spending time with my dog, Tucker, and my 2 cats, Thelma and Louise.
