About Us

University Elementary is an exceptional place to learn. We believe that it is our responsibility and privilege to provide a learning journey that will push students to reach their highest potential. We focus on learning and teaching while still recognizing all the needs that make up the WHOLE student.

We have a diverse student population of over 300 students in first to fifth grade. Our students include neighborhood children plus children from all over the district who come to participate in our two self-contained special education classrooms or district satelite Program for the Hearing Impaired.

We want our students to be excited about learning. Our many exciting learning experiences include 90 minute uninterrupted reading blocks, our new Houghton Mifflin reading adoption, K-5 which has integrated Social Studies units, community-building activities,and a new moral education program entitled, "Character Counts", technology that is growing through dedicated staff, and a strong emphasis in collaboration and teaming. Together Everyone Achieves More!
