Instrumental Music Parents Association

The IMP Association meets the 2nd Monday of each month, 7pm in the U-High Band room.

We attempt to keep monthly meetings under 1 & ˝ hrs.  No meetings in July.

What does “committed” & “give support” really mean?

Come to the meetings, assist with fundraisers, help with emails/phone calls as events come up, assist with tracking email addresses & phone numbers, meet & greet or take tickets at events, chaperone trips, cook meals during trips. Many things you only need to commit a few hours to take part in.

What do you get in return for your time?

You get a better view of what your student is doing, including a chance to be part of it.  Better yet find other parents to share the joys & dramas of these years with.

What are the fundraisers for? What do they do for your kid?

This depends on what music activity your student is taking part in.  Many of our events raise money for the general IMP Association fund.  This fund is used to help pay for new instruments, repair old instruments, assist in travel costs related to competitions and other assorted items.  During designated events, Marching Band members can raise money toward their individual travel fees, often relieving the majority of that cost from their parents.
