Stephen D. Lalonde served for eight years as Curriculum Coordinator for the Creative and Applied Arts Department at University High School in Spokane, Washington where he teaches Classical Mythology, Video Production, and Multimedia Applications. He has been a presenter at several conferences including five Northwest Council for Computer Education Conferences, Tel 'Ed 98 International Conference, Assessment II Conference, and the Washington State School Directors' Association Pre-Conference on Technology. His video production class has evolved into a production and post-production company called Viable Vision Video Production which produces quality video projects for businesses and organizations in the Northwest. Some of the projects have earned national recognition through the News 101 program. Mr. Lalonde is published in TEACHING WITH TECHNOLOGY, a book in the National Education Association's professional library. Steve earned his BA in Ed from Eastern Washington State College in 1972 and his MA in Ed from Eastern Washington University in 1988. He taught for three years in Glenwood, Washington and has been teaching since 1984 at University High School. Steve is a woodworker, avid swimmer, and amateur radio operator (FCC license WA7WKX). He and his wife, Audrey, live in their dream home in Spokane Valley. Their children are Brian and Barry who both graduated from University High School. |
