Classroom Environment

Successful students will… arrive to class on time with all needed materials, complete all assignments and homework on time, will be respectful of classmates and the instructor, and will put in extra time studying for quizzes and tests.
• Students who turn in complete assignments on time have the option of resubmitting corrections to most homework assignments for a higher grade! Corrected assignments must be completed in a different color or else on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the original assignment in order to be considered. Only the incorrect portions of the assignment need to be corrected. (This policy does not apply to incomplete work; late work is not accepted.)
• Retake policy for spelling and vocabulary tests - if you do not do well on a test see me during access time to take a retake test to improve your grade. Be sure to study the material before you do this!
• For reading tests and pop quizzes: if your grade was less than 60% you may elect to make corrections to raise your score to a passing grade. This must be done during access time.
• Please take advantage of access time or schedule an appoint to meet with me after school if you have been absent or need additional help with a class assignment.
