Classroom Environment

AP Language and Composition is offered to students who are juniors at UHS. It is a rigorous course intended for the motivated student. The focus is on reading and rhetorically analyzing various prose pieces while becoming capable writers.

AP Literature and Composition is offered to seniors at UHS. It involves both the study and practice of writing and the study of literature. Representative works of recognized literary merit from various genres, authors and periods will be studied intensively.
