Single Survival

Are your ready to be on your own? Moving into an apartment soon? Worried about bills? This course in personal economics will help you understand the basics of being on your own in areas such as: job search skills, money management, renting an apartment, handling credit, and various other consumer decisions. The life skills included in this course will help students learn how to be self-sufficient by creating meals, learning how to shop, and gaining basic skills in sewing and hemming. There is no better place to get the basics for surviving on your own. A “Power of One” project will require 10 hours of time outside of class to be completed by the 10th week.
