Family and Consumer Sciences Program
Foods, Finance and Family
Prerequisite- None
Grade- 9, 10, 11, 12
This class offers a hands-on opportunity to explore various areas of study in Family and Consumer Science curriculum. It is designed to introduce students to the Child Development, Single Survival, Passages and Foods and Nutrition classes. Students will be introduced to prenatal development, be able to make and eat a wide variety of snacks and meals and learn to make choices that will contribute to their wellness over the rest of their lives. They will also be introduced to the steps in getting a job, finding housing, sewing and hemming, and managing money through check writing and credit.
