Did I spy snow this morning?  Egads!  As we prepare for our October 30th classroom parties please be advised of some important issues about costumes.

• Students cannot bring fake (or real) swords, guns, knives or anything that can be considered a weapon.
• We discourage gory, bloody, frightening or violent costumes.
• Masks need to have eye openings making it possible for students to see where they are going.
• Students need to bring costumes in a bag.
• Students should be able to put their costumes over their regular clothes to minimize the amount of time needed to get ready.

If you are sending treats please keep in mind that we have many students with nut allergies.  Thank you so much for your consideration and support.

Hello Sunrise Families!  Welcome to our News and Announcements section on our website.  We are committed to providing information here frequently concerning upcoming events, announcements, and information.  At Sunrise, we believe that open communication is a must.  Welcome!

This week has been very busy at Sunrise.  We had the opportunity of hosting students from Mukogawa as they observed a typical American public school.  We are so lucky to have such wonderful visitors. 

Thursday, October 29, is late start.  Don't forget that it's also our PTO Skate Night.

Friday, October 30, is the day that classrooms will celebrate the fall season.  Class parties will begin around 2:10 PM.  If you are planning on volunteering in your child's classroom, you MUST have an approved volunteer background check.  This is required by law and keeps all of our students safe. 

Sunday, November 1, Daylight Savings Time Ends.  So make sure you set your clocks BACK.
