Sunrise students have the opportunity to be involved in many musical activities. Students develop rhythmic skills using Music Ace and other computer applications . Pitch and singing skills are enhanced using Pitch Masters. Students at Sunrise use a variety of computer programs to develop ear training and keyboarding skills as well as become familiar with musical notation and terminology. All these are in addition to a variety of classroom games and learning activities involving singing, musical plays, and playing recorders and Orff Instruments.
Fourth and Fifth grade students who really love to sing have the opportunity to join Sunrise's performing group, Solar Energy. Solar Energy performs many times through out the year for special school and community events.
