Mrs. Hendricks
January
Wax Museum
Genre: Biography
Step 1: Choose a person you are interested in. This does not have to be the same person you read your biography on but it can be (and would be a GREAT idea!). There has to be information available on your person. You may use the Internet, library or other books to find information. Examples of possible persons are: athletes, singers, actors, actresses, presidents, inventors, the list is endless!
Step 2: Gather your information. Fill in the blanks on the handout given in class. The form is only an example of how to present your information. The only way to earn the highest possible score is to take the information and present it in your own unique way.
Step 3: Choose your costume and props. Wear a costume or clothes that resemble the person you are presenting about. This is a wax museum so you will "become" that person during presentation times. Props are items significant to the person you are presenting on. For example: Hershey chocolate bars can be displayed (but not handed out) if you are presenting on Milton Hershey.
Step 4: Practice your presentation. Our audiences will include the other 4th grade classes, our kindergarten buddies, and parents.
Step 5: Present during the last week of January. Exact dates will be given at a later date.
