Explorers

The Explorer house consists of 6 classes.  Two kindergarten half time classes come every other day. (See the kindergarten's own pages) Explorers also have four 1st & 2nd multiage classes.  This means that half of the students in one class are 1st graders and the other half are 2nd graders.  We study expedition topics that are hands-on and interesting such as: Insects, Plants, Storytelling, and Our Ecosystem. Our Explorer teachers are Ellis, Lollar, Bockstruck, Hill, and Lawson (Melcher).  We study every topic in an integrated way with a heavy emphasis on literacy.
