History - Students watched a movie about Ellis Island and worked on developing Cues and a Summary for the Movie notes. Their homework is to read over the notes for Monday's test.

Science - Students watched videos and took notes.

7th Grade Math - Students worked on a puzzle and p. 468-469 #11-14, #21-22.

8th Grade Math - Students worked on p. 595-596 #5-8, #19-21, #24-26.

Thursday, April 12th, 2012

History - Students took the Gates test and reviewed their rubric for the Altered Books.

Science - Students did poster presentations and their homework is to work on Volcanic Eruptions Reading with Questions.

7th Grade Math - Students worked on a Sample Space Lesson and Their homework is to complete worksheet 9-2 for tomorrow.

8th Grade Math - Students did a 11-3 worksheet and their homework is to complete p. 586-587 #5-8, #19-21.

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

History - Students learned about simple, compound, and complex sentences. They then reviewed their artist's statement for a mixture of sentence patterns and published their artist statements. Students turned their books in today.

Science - Students took the Gates Reading Test today and watched an earthquake movie.

7th Grade Math - Students finished their math test and worked on p. 463 #11-29.

8th Grade Math - Students participated in a workshop about Histograms. They also had calculator practice.

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Students had picture day today!

History - Students reviewed sentence patterns #1 & 2 from their conventions section in their journal. They then did prewriting and drafting for their Artist's Statements.

Science - Students worked on their Mt. St. Helens posters and explored Google Earth.

7th Grade Math - Students took a retake on Chapter #8. Their homework is to make-up missing assignments.

8th Grade Math - Students took a retake on Chapter #9.

Monday, April 9th, 2012

History - Students reviewed concluding sentences and learned about how to create Family Pedigree Diagrams. They can use this as one way to create their family tree. Their final Altered Book is due at the end of class Wednesday.

Science - Students watched a Mt. St. Helens movie and created MSH fact posters.

7th Grade Math- Students did a logic puzzle and reviewed for a Chapter #8 test on a worksheet. If this is not finished it's homework. They also need to study for tomorrow's retake.

8th Grade Math - students did a logic puzzle. They also did a Chapter 9 review and practice sheet for tomorrow's retake.
