Classroom Environment

Fun, Exciting, Loud, Active…These are all words I would hope describe my classroom. Science is a collaborative effort that requires the task of doing science…not reading about it. I would hope an observer would see students actively involved in the process of learning by doing science in the form of labs and activities. The more your hands get dirty, the better the day!!!
Don't Forget to keep checking our Voyager Portal to keep up to date with activities and homework.

Schedule

Our day starts with a crew meeting and at 9:25 students switch to first period. We switch again for second period at 10:40. At 11:45 we line up and walk down to lunch. 12:15 is third period. Then at 1:30 we have community time with the Trail Blazers. We have a literacy class from 2:00-2:30. We end the day with planners and clean-up.

About Me

I am so excited to be at Summit. I have spent the past 7 years at Coeur d’Alene High School and the 6 years before that in various schools in Southern California. I have been married to my beautiful wife Kari for 13 years and have two awesome boys, Adam and Timmy. We are a soccer family. I played (and still try to play) and am now coaching my two boys. It is my favorite sport. GO SOUNDERS!!! I attended Wheaton College in Illinois where I received my bachelors in Biology in 1996. In 2001 received my Ma. Ed from Biola University in La Mirada, California and in 2007 finished my Administrative Certification from Eastern Washington University.
