Classroom Environment

We are CREW, not passengers. My students exhibit their CREW characteristics throughout the day in our class and with other students at Summit. I have high expectations for my students and believe that they will reach for the stars in all that they do!

9:00-9:30 Journal and CREW
9:30-10:40 Math
10:40-11:00 Snack & Silent Reading
11:00-11:45 Literacy
11:45-12:15 Lunch
12:15-1:30 Expedition
1:30-2:00 Community Time
2:00-2:30 Read Aloud
(Mondays is YMCA or Computer Lab)
2:40 Dismissal

About Me

I love teaching! This is my fourth year teaching Navigators at Summit School. I finished my Masters' Degree in Gifted Education at Whitworth College in the Spring of 2007 and then finished my Professional Certificate the summer of 2008. I also got married August 4, 2007. My husband, Brandon, teaches 4th grade at Liberty Lake Elementary. We love outdoor activities like biking, hiking, walking, and skiing (which I am learning). I also love to read many different types of books, scrapbooking, and cooking in my free time.
