About Me

I love spending my days at Summit with the creative students in our "home away from home". My goal is to create life long learners who know how to wonder, listen and share respectfully. Before returning to teaching I worked as a museum director and so history is built into almost everything we do in our classroom.

I also love spending time with my husband, who is a school principal, and our four sons, Jared, Nathaniel, Aaron, and Jonathan. After Jonathan entered middle school I went back to Whitworth University to work on my masters in teaching and return to the classroom, a decision that I am enjoying immensely!

We are CREW not passengers!

At Summit School CREW stands for Compassion, Responsibility, Enthusiasm, and Wonder.

Nearly every day begins with a C.R.E.W. meeting.  In the Lollar CREW we want the transition from home to school to be one of warmth, sharing and comfort for every member of our class.  We refer to our room as our “home-away-from-home”.  Every crew member is welcomed each day and made to feel safe.
