Admission

Summit School both welcomes and encourages applicants. Please follow the steps below if you are interesting in applying for admission:

1.) Please read our Summit School Informational Brochure. While Summit offers a variety of exciting ways to learn through projects and self-initiated exploration, this type of learning may or may not be the best fit for your child. We suggest that you carefully consider your child's strengths and areas needing development, as well as his/her educational learning style before enrolling your child.

2.) Schedule a tour through the Summit School office (228-4250). This simply allows parents to learn more about the educational philosophies of the school. It also is an unique opportunity for a Summit School representative to answer any questions which may arise during the application process.

3.) Fill out an application and return it to the Summit School office at the address below. Applications are accepted only after a tour has been completed.

4.) When there is an opening you will be contacted by the Summit School office to schedule a family interview. If you have a student entering grades 5-8, he/she will need to complete the student questionnaire, and you will need to complete the parent questionnaire, regardless of your child's grade level. While Summit School is open to all students, it is important to be sure the student and the educational setting are a good fit. The interview allows you to learn more about the educational philosophies of the school, as well as provides additional information about your child. This is a unique opportunity for a Summit School representative to answer any questions which may arise during the application process.
