Student Services
Rooted in the belief that every student is worthy of respect and parents are our most important partners in building student success, the Student Services Program works to support the educational success of all students in the Central Valley School District.
Student Services Program assists schools to:
- Create safe and positive learning environments
- Define student rights and responsibilities
- Advocate for students through program development, placement and collaboration with parents/guardians and community resources
Student Services include
- Attendance – compliance with compulsory attendance law and Becca Law
- Discipline – compliance with CVSD Policy 3200 including suspension, expulsion, emergency expulsion, application for readmission, student placement and student disciplinary hearings
- School Choice - student-requested transfer within the district
- Student Records – management, confidentiality and release information
- Counseling Program
- Conflict Resolution
- Family Resource Specialists
- Alternative Programs for middle and high school students
