• Initiatives are immersed in pedagogy and content that result in improved student learning.
• Professional learning prepares teachers to apply new knowledge and practice to their teaching.
• Professional learning results in a change in instruction and assessment practice as evidenced by observations, collections of student work, reflections, surveys, etc.
• Selected district initiatives are viable, sustainable and affordable and align with the mission and vision of the district.
