About Me

My husband, two sons, and I enjoy living in the Spokane Valley with our two pugs Aries and Vesta. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from WSU and my Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Whitworth College. While working on my M. Ed. I completed a two year internship at South Pines Elementary. After graduating I relocated my family to the Washington coast and worked for a year in the Aberdeen School District. The following summer the South Pines counselor position became open, and my family missed being in Spokane Valley. So here I am living in the town I love, working in the school I love, with the students I love!

Schedule

Before School Hours Schedule:
Monday: 8:20 - 504 Meeting
Tuesday: 8:20 - MDT/IEP Meeting
Wednesday:8:10 - Staff Meeting
Thursday: 8:40-9:40 - Collaboration
Friday: 8:20 - SST Meeting

School Hours Schedule:
Parent meetings, individual counseling, student observations, and classroom meetings are scheduled throughout the day as needed.

Each grade level has weekly small group counseling sessions secheuled focused on varoius skills. Students are able to access these sessions as needed.

2007-2008 school year schedule for Grade Level Small Group Counseling:

Tuesday: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade
Wednesday: 3rd grade
Every other Wednesday: 5th grade
Thursday: 4th grade

Jobs Program
Monday - Friday 8:55, 12:35, & 1:50 recess, and 3:10 I am available to interview students and pay them for jobs worked that week.
Friday - 12:35 and 1:50 recess the Payday Store is open
