Career Fair 2008
South Pines Elementary hosted it's third annual Career Fair on Friday, January 18, 2008. The Career Fair is an interactive event where various careers are introduced to the students. Career representatives share information about their career choice, the education required for that career, wage range expectations, and current job opportunities.
The careers represented included:
Zoology / Biology: Cat Tails, Jackie Silbernagel
Veterinary Technician: Apollo College, Liesa Nelson
Photography: Leo's Photography, Bill Robertson & Alan Hunter
Banking & Investment: State Bank Northwest, Kelli Anderson
Pediatric Dentistry: Dentistry for Children, Dr. Molly Gunsaulis, DDS
Law Enforcement: Washington State Patrol, Trooper Tina Wallman
Fire Fighters: Spokane Valley Fire Department, Rick Freier
Cosmetology: Total Cosmetology, Erica Hendan (instructor) and several students
Education: CVSD Departments - Curriculum, Grant Writing & Special Programs, Technology, Communications, Business Services, Human Resources, Nutrition Services, Print Shop
