Snow Closures and Delays

February 4 - 6:00 a.m.
Central Valley Schools will be OPEN ON TIME today. Preschool and child care will be open. Buses are running on schedule, although some routes may experience slight delays. Call the Snow Hotline at 228-5572 for more information about buses.

January 31 - 4:15 a.m.
Central Valley Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 31 due to poor road conditions, blowing and drifting snow. There will be no preschool or child care services. All afternoon and evening events are also cancelled.

January 30 - 4:00 p.m.
Central Valley Schools will make the decision about whether to open or close our schools early Thursday morning. Please tune in to local news or call our Snow Hotline at 228-5572 after 5:30 a.m. for a current update.

January 29, 2008 - 3:45 p.m.
Central Valley Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 30 due to weather conditions. There will be no preschool or child care services. All afternoon and evening events are also cancelled.

January 29, 2008 - 12:30 p.m.
Due to worsening weather and student safety concerns, Central Valley School District is:

• Releasing all high school and middle school students one hour early today
• Releasing all elementary school students and Summit at the regular time today
• Implementing early dismissal of older students to give our buses time to complete their routes and arrive at elementary schools at dismissal time to provide younger students with safe, quick transportation home
• Canceling all after school activities
• Canceling all afternoon Kindergarten, ECEAP and Special Education classes. All day kindergarten students will remain in school for the rest of the day.
• Canceling Barker Night School
• Keeping child care open for the remainder of the day (regular hours)

Parents with concerns may pick up their children early from school. Please call your school office with any questions.
