Dear
Parents and Community:
South
Pines is a great place to be and learn.
Our parents, community, and staff continually offer
support and guidance towards maximizing our efforts helping
our kids learn and grow. Thank you one all.
Our school is in excellent condition and due for further
remodeling in the next few years. Our communication
opportunities have greatly increased this year with the
addition of eight Internet ports in each classroom. One of
these ports serves as a telephone link throughout the
building as well as a voice mailbox for messages to
classrooms. We’ll be even better at using our new
communications tools each school year.
Special
thanks to our PTSA for their continued support of everything
we collaborate with. Watch
for PTSA sponsored new equipment on our playfields by
mid-summer. Continued
thanks to Telect for supporting our reading celebrations and
twenty reconditioned computers that they provided for our
school. Valley
View Senior Residence Home also continues to work with us
allowing us to bring joy to their senior citizens and our
students as we visit monthly. Starbucks coffee has also
joined us in celebrating learning with our school and
students monthly.
We’ve continued this year
striving to help students always remember Courtesy,
Kindness, Respects, and Responsibility for themselves,
others, and property. Thanks for your help modeling those
attributes at home too.
Join me in welcoming Mr. Walt Clemons, your next principal.
I know you’ll enjoy his presence and leadership. He will
continue to support and enhance the excellence you’ve come
to expect at South Pines.
Thank you for eleven wonderful years at South Pines. It has
been a most enjoyable experience for me. Most important of
all, enjoy your children. Take a few minutes every day to
let them know how special they are to you, and have fun
helping them learn. They are our tomorrow.
Most
Sincerely,
Ralph
