Dear
Parents and Community:
I am pleased to
share this report of our achievements and goals for the 2000-2001 school
year.
We are proud to be a “Community of Learners” with a long tradition
of commitment to high academic standards by our students, parents and
staff. Broadway Elementary
continues to be a child centered, family oriented school promoting high
academic expectations, mutual respect and social responsibility.
As we enter the new millennium, the education of our future
generations is even more complicated in today’s technological,
information driven society. The power to use information and knowledge in new and unique
ways is essential for success in today's global world.
Here at Broadway, we continue to strive towards meeting the state
Essential Academic Learning Requirements at each grade level.
We have identified and participated in staff training programs to
obtain the best teaching strategies to help us reach this goal.
We are embracing and extending the use of technology and the
Internet to bring the latest information and research to our studies in
the various curriculum areas. We
encourage respect and responsibility in our students by implementing the
consistent and firm application of Student’s Responsibilities and
Rights and involvement in community and service projects.
And we seek effective partnerships with our families and the
community in support of these endeavors.
We invite you to visit Broadway, participate in our programs and
activities and become a part of our “Community of Learners”.
