A continuing emphasis on school safety
and a positive school climate through the emphasis on the values of respect,
right choices, and responsibility.
An outside speaker program which brought
to the school a variety of speakers focusing upon respect for oneself and
others and people with disabilities or of different ethnic and racial groups,
substance use and abuse, and making a commitment to achieving positive goals.
A 7th grade project
integrating the areas of language arts, social studies, science, mathematics,
and the state’s essential learnings in which each student prepares an oral
presentation on a biological organism and its environment providing supportive
visual data and details.
Musical groups—band, orchestra, and
choirs—earning the highest ratings possible in their respective festival
competitions.
A variety of volunteer and community
outreach programs in which students provided needed items, food and their time
to serve others in our community.
A very successful PTO-sponsored Family
Feast Dinner which brought together staff, students, parents, and community
members, along with gifts given to school including furniture, microphones, PE
equipment.
A
Global Awareness class with pen pals and visitation program with students from
Japan through Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute.
