- Good readers ask questions before, during, and after reading.
Theme 3: That's Amazing! - Strategy: Inferring
- Good readers use what they know and clues from the author to make inferences when they read.
Theme 4: Problem Solvers - Strategy: Determining Importance
- Good readers determine what is the most important idea when they read.
Theme 5: Heroes - Strategy: Visualizing
- Good readers create a movie in their minds as they read.
Theme 6: Nature: Friend and Foe - Strategy: Synthesizing
- Good readers use what they know and information gained from their reading to create new ideas.
