KINDERGARTEN NEWSLETTER – JUNE 6, 2008
Dear Families,
This is my last newsletter of the year. I am amazed at how quickly this year went! Next Friday, June 13th, is the last day of school. A.M. kindergarten is from 9:00-10:00 and P.M. kindergarten is from 10:00–11:00. Just a reminder that there is no bus service for half-day kindergarten on that final day. Report cards will be handed out on the 13th. If you know that your student will not be at school on the 13th then send in a self-addressed stamped envelope so that I can mail the report card to you. If, however, there is a library book still due, it needs to be turned in or paid for before I can give out your child’s report card. Your child will also not be able to participate in Wednesday’s (June 11) All-Day Play Day if there are any outstanding library books or fines. Toward the end of June you will receive a letter with your child’s first grade teacher and beginning of school information. Over the summer please keep your child reading. Local libraries and bookstores have great summer reading programs in which your child could earn free books. Also, review the Rainbow words often. On a personal note I would like to express how fortunate I was to be a part of your wonderful child’s life these past ten months. Please stop by to share their progress and milestones with me as they move up in life. Finally, I would like to end this incredible year with the following poem, “Great Expectations.”
It’s time to say, “Good-bye.”
Our year has come to an end.
I’ve made more cherished memories
And many more new friends.
I’ve watched your children learn and grow
And change from day to day.
I hope that all the things we’ve done
Have helped in some small way.
So it’s with happy memories
That I send them out the door,
With great hope and expectations
For what next year holds in store.
With many happy memories,
