Classroom Environment

Our kindergarten classroom is a fun and positive place filled with a community of eager learners. Besides learning about reading, writing, and math, we are also learning to be respectful and responsible citizens.
Our classroom expectations: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Respectful.

About Me

My family and I moved here to Spokane in August of 2005 from California and I have been working in kindergarten at Ponderosa since October 2005. In California I was also teaching in half-day kindergarten.
I have been married for 15 years and my husband and I have one son and one daughter. I love reading and spending as much time as possible with my family playing games, watching movies, camping/hiking, and snow skiing.
Besides my teaching certificate, I am also a registered dietitian with a Master's degree in Nutrition and I hope to incorporate some healthful nutrition information into our learning (although I must confess that cookies and chocolate are two of my favorite foods).
