Mrs. Megan Colyar
Classroom Environment
I strive to make my classroom environment very welcoming and safe. My students know that they are here to learn, while having fun, and that their education is very important. In my class my students feel comfortable to participate because they know that nothing they say is incorrect, as long as they participate and try. We learn from our mistakes. I always tell my kiddos, "It is better to try and fail, than to never try at all!"
Schedule
*Wear your running shoes for PE on Mondays and Wednesdays
*Bring your library books back to school on Tuesdays
*Warm up those voices for music on Mondays and Thursdays
*Work out your fingers for computer lab on Friday
About Me
I have been teaching in the Central Valley School Distict since 2006 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I graduated from Washington State University in 2002 and recently completed classes through Whitworth University to further my education. I am married to a wonderful man named Kale who is a sixth grade teacher out in Rathdrum. I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my bike, reading a good book, and being with my family as much as possible.
I am SO excited to be teaching fifth grade this year. It will definitely be a learning curve from third, but I know that we will all work as a team to help everyone (including me) have a successful fifth grade year!
