HOMEWORK
Home work due is on the Classroom News newsletter that goes home each Friday in the Friday Folder.
Please check for important homework that might be due on Monday. Otherwise, homework is due on Thursdays so I have time to correct it and get it back to the children in the Friday Folder.
Please read daily with your child for 15 minutes. In the beginning you will do all the reading but as time goes on, let them do more and more! The only time that you will need to record the time and books that you have read is for the Silverwood Ticket Reading in April. Having conversations about reading is so important! Please see the district frameworks for first grade expectations!
Please practice basic math activities daily for 15 minutes. Some ideas of what to practice are, counting, adding to 20, subtracting, telling time to the hour and half hour, and counting change are wonderful! Please see the district frameworks for first grade expectations!
