Hi and welcome to the School Nurse website for Opportunity Elementary.  My name is Cheryl Funke and I have been the School Nurse at Opportunity since September 2001.  I have been working in Central Valley School District since September 1995.

I am a Registered Nurse with a BSN from Washington State University and a MN from the University of Washington.  I have worked in a variety of health care settings including hospital maternity services, newborn intensive care, and public health nursing.  I also have taught nursing at Everett Community College and the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education.

As School Nurse I am responsible for helping the school staff keep your child safe and healthy at school.  Please keep me informed of any health problems that might affect your child's experience at school.
