At our media center we have approximately 10,000 books and audio-visual resources. We are a busy place. We have a Follett computerized check-out system and have OPAC, an online card catalog!! We are enjoying the network version of OPAC and windows version of Circ Plus!! In the library we have access to the Internet, 13 PCs, and automated encyclopedias, Magazine Indexes, as well as other reference sources.

OPPORTUNITY LIBRARY HELPERS

Would you like to know what A Library Aide does? Then read to find out!
We shelve books, check them out, check them in. We come to work in the library 2 days a week, on our recess. It is a great opportunity to be library aides at our school.

We get to know how it feels to have a responsibility. We get to work with younger kids and read books to them. This makes us want to read all kinds of books because we're around them more.

I hope you like books as much as we do! Maybe one day you will be also Library Aides like us.

LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY HELPERS

As Technology Ambassadors we get a chance to use the Internet. We come to the library each week to have lunch and learn more about computers.
We help monitor and clean computers in our classrooms. We help clean the computers in the computer lab.

We sometimes show the Computer Site of the Week for the Good Morning Opportunity News Show. There is a lot more information so tune in for more later.
