Writing

This year we will be using the workshop model approach to writing.  This is different to traditional teaching methods, because it gives children more freedom of choice, while allowing them more time to write.  We will start the year off by introducing your child to his or her "writer's notebook".  We want our children to see themselves as writers.  Students will be engaged in mini-lessons which will help give them a broad range of idea's on what to write.
