September Newsletter
Reading: This month we will be learning about schema and how readers use it. This includes text to self connections, text to text connections, and text to world connections. The stories we are reading includes Dragon Gets By and Mrs. Brown Went to Town.
Writing: We are starting writing workshop and beginning to write small moment stories. We also have been working on class books and memory book pages.
Math: The first three units are a review of first grade with some new skills introduced. We are working on addition, subtraction, place value, money, and time.
