Principal's Message

Welcome to North Pines Middle School! We are home to about 500 students and 60 staff members and have been a neighborhood school in the Spokane Valley for over 50 years. 

We try to recognize our students good choices and behaviors using our "Cub Pride" program.  We have established our "pride code" to help our students understand the expectations we set here at school.  We work hard to recognize those students using various means. 

At North Pines Middle School, we work hard to support our students in the academic areas and our teachers are highly trained in curriculum delivery and instruction.  They have spent many hours in workshops, classes, and training.  We share a vision of quality education for our students.  The staff has devoted many hours to the improvement of instruction   I am fortunate to work with such a motivated group.  I am very proud of what they do.

Our students are active in many activities offered at the school. We have a full sports program for our 7th and 8th graders, as well as after school programs for our 6th graders.  Our student government is active, providing leadership and direction.  We offer the IGNITE program that has our students mentoring other students.  We are active in our community, providing support in the form of community service activities.
