Fire Department Visits McDonald
On Wednesday, October 10 the Spokane Valley Fire Department visited McDonald Elementary second graders. Students got to get up close to a real fire engine, hear lots of great information from real firemen, and hear a fire engine siren from 20 feet away!

Second Grade Supplies List
- 2 packages of #2 yellow pencils – total of 24
- Large box of Crayola crayons
- 1 bottle hand sanitizer
- Scissors (blunt) Fiskars
- 2 white glue bottles (4 oz.)
- 2 large pink pearl eraser chunks
- Large box of Kleenex
- Large box of Kleenex
- 2 spiral notebooks (75-100 pages)
- Wide-ruled paper
- Wooden ruler with metric & standard units
- Large school box (needs to fit into a desk)
- Ziplock baggies (quart of gallon)
- Wet Wipes
- Clean Sock to erase white board (if you have any extra, please send them!)
- Optional - Calculator (scientific not necessary)
