Fire Department Visits McDonald
On Wednesday, October 10 the Spokane Valley Fire Department visited McDonald Elementary second graders. Students got to get up close to a real fire engine, hear lots of great information from real firemen, and hear a fire engine siren from 20 feet away!

First Grade Supplies List
- Plastic school box – not larger than 5” x 8”
- Inside the box –
- blunt Fiskars scissor
- 8 thick washable marker
- 2 pink pearl erasers
- 1 - 4 oz. bottle of white Elmer's glue - orange top
- 4 pack small glue sticks
- 24 - #2 yellow sharpened pencils
- 1 box of Kleenex
- 2 packages of wet tipes or similar product
- 2 spiral wide-ruled notebooks (70 sheets, not tear-away pages)
- 1 box of crackers (NOT peanut products!)
- 1 sturdy backpack
- 2 sturdy folders with pockets on the bottom
- 10 pennies and five nickels
- 1 water bottle with pop-top lid (optional)
