Parent and Student Input Key to Strategic Planning Process
More than 260 parents, students, employees and community members shared their thoughts about Central Valley schools during a series of 13 focus groups held last month. The focus groups are one of eight steps in the district’s year-long strategic planning process. Focus group participants were asked to answer and discuss a series of questions designed to develop a common understanding of shared responsibility and commitment to Central Valley Schools. Reams of notes, draft commitment statements and other feedback are now being compiled for analysis. This feedback will be combined with other input to help shape the direction of Central Valley schools for the next three to five years.
