Classroom Environment
Our classroom is located upstairs in room 216. We have several classroom computers and teaching technology that is used almost daily. I work with a team of teachers and we all teach within a two hour block of time. Social Studies and Language Arts are mostly integrated.
Schedule
1st period Prep
2nd & 3rd period block is Language Arts and Social Studies
4th and 5th period block is Language Arts and Social Studies
6th period is either Art (1st & 3rd trimesters) or The Art of Storytelling
About Me
I have a masters degree in Education with 30 years of service, mostly in Central Valley School District. My first year of teaching was at The Spokane Guild School. Most of my teaching experience has been either high school or middle. I am endorsed in English, Communications and Special Education. I am currently working on my National Certification in Social Studies. This year I am also teaching 7th grade Art. I have raised four children, two of whom have graduated from college and two still attending.I also enjoy having two small grandchildren and one spoiled cat!
