REQUIRED AR Reading:

Students in 7th grade are required to read TWO AR books and take the test for each book every trimester.  This is in addition to the required reading listed above, for a total of THREE AR books this trimester. This is a homework requirement for  Language Arts.  This requirement encourages all students to keep reading.  There are 3500 tests and 3300 AR books available in our Horizon library.  Students mostly take tests before or after school. It only takes about six minutes to take a test.  The good news is that each student chooses their own book and can stay within their own reading range.

Students are given a grade at midterm and report card time for successful AR reading! This is a great boost to their Language Arts grade!  Keep Reading!
